Jamendo announces strategic partnership with Kanjian Music.

This commercial agreement between Jamendo Licensing and Kanjian Music will enable Kanjian Music to distribute Jamendo Licensing's entire catalogue in Asia. With more than 100,000 corporate customers, Kanjian Music is a major player in Asia, particularly in China. Kanjian has 3 distribution platforms: Starcast, Coolvox and Starlink.

"This agreement is quite similar to the one we signed with Abode, which brings us recurring revenue. It's a new distribution zone with a quality partner. We see other opportunities of this type in the coming months", explains Mathieu Gheysen, Chief Business Officer.

Jamendo, which manages more than 350,000 titles under commercial licence, is a key strategic element in the Llama Group's development. Its business model is based on revenue sharing with artists.

Today, Jamendo sells more than 100,000 licences a year for advertising projects, YouTube videos, websites and so on. This business will become even more important with the launch of Winamp, but also with the possibility that artists will be given in the coming weeks of joining Bridger, the group's copyright management company, directly in order to recover broadcasting rights.
